 What are PNW Handcrafted Aromatics?

PNW Handcrafted Aromatics are high performance, handcrafted air fresheners for use in vehicles, RVs, desk areas, closets, or anywhere with little or no airflow. Aromatics are made in small batches using only the highest quality fragrance oils and BPA free plastic aroma beads, then cured and baked into their shapes in a two-step baking process, ensuring longevity and high scent throw. 

How long does the scent last?

The scent throw will be strong over the first 2-3 weeks, then after that will be less intense but still present. Heat and warmth also increases scent throw, cooler seasons may be noticeably less. Aromatics never completely lose their scent but will not fill as large of space. They can then be used in smaller spaces such as gym bags, drawers, shoes, etc. Just get creative! 

Do they melt?

They CAN melt in extreme heat. Never trap an Aromatic between the windshield and a sunshade. Make sure to pull it out from underneath when placing a shade screen in the windshield. In ordinary use, it is possible but unlikely that they will melt, but always use discretion when you live in high temperature environments.

Do they shrink over time? 

No. Aromatics do not shrink or disintegrate over time.

How can I get the best performance out of my Aromatics air freshener?

For best performance, it is best to hang them from the attached string either from your rearview mirror, loop around a grab handle in the rear of your vehicle if you feel like the scent may be too strong, or hang somewhere inside where you can enjoy fragrance in passing, such as in a hallway closets, laundry rooms, or near your desk or workspace.

Can Aromatics be made with any fragrance oil?

No. Not all fragrances will translate into an Aromatic air freshener.  This type of cured and baked air freshener will only perform with certain fragrance oils, and others simply will not throw scent at all. The fragrance options offered have been tried, tested, and specially selected for your enjoyment.

How long do they take to make?

The process to make Aromatics takes anywhere from 2 weeks to a month. Different fragrance oils have different densities and can take anywhere from 1 hour to two weeks to fully absorb and dry before curing for 14 days. Each small batch is then colored and then twice-baked in metal rimmed molds before packaging.

Are they made by hand?

Yes. Every step is done by hand from the initial mixing of ingredients to coloring batches by hand, to packing the scented beads into their molds for baking, to popping them out of the molds after cooling. Their strings are cut and tied by hand and the packaging is also designed, printed, and assembled by hand. Every step is 100% done by hand with love from the beautiful PNW.
